PRINTING INKS

Nobel Enterprises nitrocellulose is a key component in many ink formulations. Its importance stems from its excellent solvent release and compatibility with a wide range of other additives. These include plasticisers, pigments and resins which are added to the ink to give the right combination of properties for the intended application.

Nobel Enterprises is a market leader in the supply of high quality, low viscosity grades of nitrocellulose for the ink industry with a recognised strength in alcohol soluble grades. Printing inks and paper lacquers with a high odourless solvent content are much in demand inthe packaging industry and in flexographic printing, where it is important that solvents do not attack the rubber blankets used in this process.

BENEFITS OF DLX 3 - 5

Nobel Enterprises nitrocellulose DLX 3 - 5 is only available from Nobel Enterprises. This special low viscosity grade:
° Allows maximum solids loading in formulations;
° Increases solids loading by a maximum of 30% compared with ordinary grades;
° Demonstrates superior alcohol solubility;
° Allows high odourless solvent content;
° Achieves more effective milling due to higher pigment ratio;
° Provides good thermoplastic properties and consistent high quality product.

TARGETING NEEDS,
ACHIEVING RESULTS

At Nobel Enterprises, we focus on providing nitrocellulose products designed to respond reliably and consistently to a unique set of customer requirements. All demonstrate value for money, outstanding functionality and exceptional ease of use.

In addition to standard grades of nitrocellulose, we are able to provide grades of nitrocellulose conforming to extremely rigorous specifications. This is possible because we use a batch method to control all stages of the production process and apply stringent quality control measures throughout.

We also offer a range of high quality, high nitrogen grades of nitrocellulose which can be used where there is no odour restriction and where no rubber contact will occur. For example, the high solubility of high nitrogen nitrocellulose in ketones and ester solvents makes it an ideal choice for rotogravure inks where it is permissible to use a wider range of solvents. The extensive range of viscosity grades available means that you can be sure of selecting the right grade of Nobel Enterprises nitrocellulose to optimise ink properties and performance.
